When Bette's mum dies Bette feels like she can never sing again.
From Bette's sister Barbra she is now in the possession of an angel coin, from then on everything seems to be going Bette's way. With the Huckleberry Finn production coming up, Bette feel she will get a part. Then just out of luck a strange new lady turns up at the downstairs apartment, she's nice but Bette cant stand her. When Joe get shown up by Bette's beautiful voice in a rage he decides to steal Bette's beloved coin. His Dad is now coming back for Christmas and even though his Dad hasn't kept his side of the bargain Joe seems happy for the first in a long time. The coin gets passed around another girl and boy in the school. They all are special, and they are all drawn together by some force.
